“Match Made In India” ~ Matchboxes have always fascinated Babbu, and this series reimagines the classic Indian matchbox as a portal into contemporary culture, femininity, satire, and symbolism. Drawing from kitschy street art, goddess iconography, vintage packaging, and everyday desi drama, these painted matchboxes fuse the sacred with the subversive.

To honor the spirit of the matchbox, every original painting comes with a set of custom-designed matchboxes and incense, made to extend the experience beyond the canvas. These boxes may be small, but each one is a strike of beauty, rebellion, memory, and meaning.
